Summary

When Massachusetts Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira was very publicly arrested on April 13, 2023, the world just knew that he had been charged for violating the Espionage Act. When Margot dug into the publicly available court filings, she learned that not only had this young man ALLEGEDLY been posting full blown pages upon pages of TS documents to Discord…but he had actually been counseled for “deep diving” into documents and topics which he did not have a need to know. Join Margot as she tells you the current status of this still active case against Jack Teixeira. REMINDER: All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. —— Ways to support your favorite podcast: Join My Patreon Family! Subscribe to Military Murder Premium on Apple Podcast! Today's case is one that you might find me covering in brief snippets either on TikTok or on Instagram,

but after really digging and getting into the arrest after David and other records, I felt it most appropriate for my biggest fans.

1:01.0

Specifically because this case has had huge implications for the entire Air Force at least, if not the entire military.

Alright, I'm talking about Jack Tushira, the little twerp out of the Massachusetts Air National Guard who was actively releasing top secret documents that he did not even have a need to know about.

1:20.0

Allegedly, as soon as Jack was arrested, anyone who was actively serving, well, we all got emails about renewing our security training, even if we had just done it.

1:30.0

We had to review training and agree all over again. Now, if you're in the Air Force, not sure how other branches do it, but you might recall this voice.

Hi, I'm Tina. I heard that the base is moving to teleworking. I saw you took a photo of the new reduced manning schedule.

1:47.0

Can you post that to face base and tag me? A coworker has asked you to post sensitive information to a public social media platform. What would you like to do?

1:55.0

Yep, it's Tina from security training. Oh my gosh. She is literally the bane of my existence and honestly doing that yearly training seems so tedious.

2:07.0

But today's case is exactly why we have to do the training because some idiot and intel thinks it's cute to release documents.

2:15.0

Before I begin my typical disclaimer, today's case is still an active case and Jack Tashira is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Times magazine wrote an article when today's case broke like the same day that it broke and honestly it reads like a novel. Here is the opening credit.
