I'm your host, Eric Smolski, joined as always by the man himself, Nick Pollock, as we continue, going through his top 200 starting pitchers for 2025.

What is happening?

Yes, we're going to start off with a bang here because we started doing these and news came out

before I actually posted my top 200 and just messes everything up Eric because we did these

lovely numbers here from scratch and like two to a lot of them and I'm so sorry everyone

but we even talked about one of these guys,

but essentially we got news. And we'll first talk about Roki Sasaki, I think, because we already talked about in the last podcast quickly. But now I put him up all the way to 15 because

it's pretty much, it's confirmed that he's going to be posting. I know Pass and put out this

thing about, well, there's a chance that he doesn't. And he's also putting a lot of money on the, you know,

on leaving on the table because he's not 25. But it seems pretty confirmed that he is going to post.

And I'm all the way at 15. Do you think that's too high, Eric?

Slightly. I mean, I have him, right now at first blush, I have him 19th, right around Joe Ryan for me.

So I think, I mean, obviously it's like, yes, it's a little high, but no, it's not crazy high.

I have an article coming out on NBC Sports that's basically just about

Roki Sasaki and his pitch mix and what we can expect from him. I took some great stuff cited

obviously from Enosarist at the Athletic from Lance Brosdowski's video that he put on YouTube.

Listen, there is, when he was on, Sasaki had 100 mile per hour fastball. I mean,

it average 99. So when we say 100 mile per hour fastball, we meet 100 mile per hour fastball

that had like elite vertical movement and horizontal movement and fairly average extension. And it took a step back

last year. And it will probably take a step back from what we saw in Japan because the Japanese

balls, the NPB baseballs are tackier. They're stickier. So you get a little bit more movement on that.
