Welcome to episode 350 of On the Corner here live at First Pitch, Arizona,

and what's becoming kind of an annual tradition, because I'm not Alex Fast, unfortunately.

I am for the second year in a row, Miles Nelson here live with, as always, Nick Pollock.

What is happening? Not unfortunately, Miles is a wonderful, wonderful host. He will not tell you,

but I will. And I'm very lucky to have you here. Who needs Alex? Huh? He's not going to listen to

And something that I think it will be really interesting to look forward to as we, you know, move into 2023. But I think there's a lot of other interesting things looking into 20203 about pitching, about the pitching landscape. And so why don't we just get right into it, Nick? Because I know you're dying to talk about these guys. Sure. So the first question I have for you is in 2023, can Brandon Drury repeat his 2022 performance? Actually, yeah, this is the one or two players that I did Scouts Honor with Nick Nekinac and Alex baseball show, of all the hitters to try to tell you with, I picked one you can actually I can actually answer. Brandon Drury has incredible swing decisions. Watching him in the batters box, he does good things. Watch Ketel Marte and he does bad things. I believe in Brandon Drury. Should Scott Choo be worried now that you talk about hitters? Oh God, Scott Chu's here. Never mind. Who's Brandon. Who's Brandon. Durendon. Brandon. Brory, right? Drandon Brewery. But no, no. We're going to talk about pictures for 2023. Last year we talked about retrospective of 2022 and we realized you know what it's kind of more fun to

look ahead right you guys don't want to hear things that you already know about you want to hear

maybe some interesting takes and and feelings about these pictures for the future so we have

different categories yeah listen we're in in the spirit of a lot of different places and

podcasts and whatnot we're doing the five burning pitchers you you know, like five burning questions. And listen, we're in Arizona, but we're not burning because it is so cold here. It's the coldest desert I've ever been. But first, let's talk about the five burning pictures for you, the five pictures you're most interested in. The five pictures you're the hottest on when it comes to burning pitchers. So this isn't necessarily your- When it comes to burning pitchers only though. Yeah, the ones that we light on fire. So Corvin Burns is number one. There you go. So we're not talking about your top five pitchers. We're not talking about the guys you've ranked one through five. I want to know who are you going to have the closest eye on? Who are you most interested in seeing what they bring to the

table come next season? So, okay, so I took this as the five pitchers I think I'm hoping to get in

my draft. That works too. That's another form of interest. Yeah, I know. I mean, there are a lot of

things that might repeat in this one. I'm just very interested in them.

Even as like not even, hey, for my fantasy team, but as I do the roundups, I'm so curious to just see how their other season transpires ahead.
