Welcome to On the Bench, I'm your host for this episode, Running Sonone. I'm joined by Zach Wallstein, Chris Nees.

FSU Clemson, it's Rival Week. Sorry, Colin. Rivalry Week. Try saying Rivalry Week.

0:35.6

Rivalry Week.

0:36.6

Rivalry week. Rivalry week. Try saying rival week. Rivalry week. Rivalry week. Can you say it? Rivalry week.

0:44.0

Rivalry week. That's going to be the headline. All right. Got it. Got it. All right. So FSU goes up to Clemson at 7 p.m.

0:53.7

And it is a rivalry game. But it's one that certainly

0:57.9

lacks a little bit of its normal. FSU's four and four. Clemson's three and five. I will say

1:03.2

some of the advanced analytics if you're into that sort of thing, show FSU and Clemson as teams that

1:08.6

should have more wins than they do just in terms of like on-field play.

1:12.0

I'm not even just talking about like roster talent or whatnot.

1:15.6

But the record is the record.

1:17.6

And as we get into this, you know, I think we'll do a little bit of a matchup type of type of deal boys.

1:21.5

But I think like big picture, if we want to look at how Mike Norville could somehow earn trust back,

1:29.2

and I'm dubious of how I would eventually feel trust that he will get the program in the right way.

1:36.3

There's a long build.

1:38.2

But going up to Clemson, winning is not just a must, but I think the rest of the way you have to win pretty convincingly.

1:43.3

And it starts now. And so that's kind of a starting point for us. It's like, what do you need to see? What does a result, a resounding win do for you if that happens? And even like, let's talk about the other side of it, too, a narrow win, a loss. Like, let's just like project how we're going to feel come Sunday morning. Okay. So if they win, I'll feel like they won a game and. Oh, my God. Better. I mean, seriously, like, I'm not, it's not. Clemson has not beat a power four team at home this season. Let's not turn Clemson and something. They're not. Like they are talented. There's plenty of talent on that roster.

2:18.9

But they have played horrible football.

2:21.4

They're three and five for a reason.

2:23.1

They're one and four at home.

2:24.4

That only win is Troy.

2:25.9

Like they are not Clemson of old.
