I know this isn't the busiest time on the NFL calendar.

We had mini camps wrap up last week.

Now there's not going to be that much news for a while. But we're in the middle of our OTA takeaway series, getting you caught up on all the things you might have missed from the last couple of weeks when we actually did have players on the field, when we had coaches and players speaking to the media.

Again, we're not overreacting to this stuff this time of year.

But I want you to know where my head's at, how I'm viewing some of these guys, and how

I'm factoring in some of these reports and highlights from the mini camps.

And we did all 16 AFC teams already.

You can go back and listen to those two shows if you haven't yet. Today we're moving on to the NFC with the NFC East and NFC North. So let's start with a team that always draws headlines. Doesn't matter what time of year it is, that is the Dallas Cowboys. And right now, Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones, everybody over in that organization, they're looking a little bit foolish.

They've waited on signing CD Lamb and Dak Prescott to extensions.

The price just keeps going up and up.

Each new deal pushes that bar a little higher.

And I'd imagine that they're going to lock these guys down eventually, you know, two of the best players at their position

in the past. Dallas has paid their guys. It just really hurts their long-term cap situation.

So fantasy-wise, we will keep an eye on it. You'd rather see those two happy and having their

future secured for dynasty purposes. Lamb seems guaranteed to stay in Dallas.

DAC almost guaranteed, but there is a small chance that this could play out in a way that ends up with DAC somewhere else. I still think the most likely scenario is both these guys are going to play together for years to come in Jerry World. It's just going to be very expensive for the Joneses. The more pressing fantasy conundrum, though, for Dallas is what is going to happen in that backfield.

And Ezekiel Elliott, he's saying all the right things.

He understands that he needs to be in tip top shape to handle an increased workload at his age.

But he also explained that he's willing to do whatever the team needs.
