It is Friday, November 18th. In Hollywood, the holiday season means the award season really

kicks into high gear.

Premiers, screenings, receptions for the major guilds like actors, directors, writers, campaign events masquerading as holiday parties.

It's an Oscars industrial complex and millions are spent just to get awards voters to actually

see the movies.

One guy who's seen everything is Scott Feinberg,

my former colleague at The Hollider Porter,

who writes what's called the Feinberg Forecast,

his predictions of what will get nominated.

He's talking to voters all day long,

and he's got a pretty good sense

of what's getting traction with them.

So I thought now would be a good time

to check in with him on the award season movies,

plus some bigger picture issues, like what's going on with the Will Smith movie, Emancipation, whether Top Gun Maverick has a shot
