No, something's changed. Well, as always, the underlying thing with the Oscars is always

the things that aren't even nominated. You know, I do Kermode awards that I do on the culture show,

which is the categories you cannot win an award unless, in a category for which you've been

nominated for an Oscar. And even before we went into the ceremony, we knew, for example,

Christopher Nolan not nominated for Best Director. I mean, an absurdity. I mean, actually,

I did think that David Fincher was going to beat Tom Hooper, you know, that Tom Hooper did win

for King's Peach. But just the whole idea of that category being contested without Christopher

Nolan, everyone who went up to win for Inception and won several technical awards, all said,

you know, he was the architect, he was the man behind everything, he was his stamp was all over it.

I cannot think of a more directed film. Even if you don't think he should have won,
