| 0:00.0 | I related to Lady Bird a lot. |
| 0:07.4 | I don't know if you did. |
| 0:08.5 | Yeah, sort of. |
| 0:09.2 | I mean, like, I had a single mother. |
| 0:10.6 | I'm more of a daughter to my mother than I am a son. |
| 0:14.6 | Seriously. |
| 0:14.6 | Bruch! |
| 0:15.0 | Hit it, boys! It's Monday, and people are going to be pissed at me. |
| 0:35.6 | Why? |
| 0:36.5 | Just because I'm just going to say it out at the gate. And please, like, you know us, we're fine. We're good for it. I don't think sexism is why Lady Bird didn't win best picture. And a lot of people think that. Really? Yeah. Are you kidding me? Yeah. Lady Bird, Scott McLaughlin said it last night. he was like, did he say that Lady Bird should have won? I don't know. He said something, but basically my take away. I usually agree with a lot of his takes. Right. And he was pretty, he was pretty like, I think he hit like six for six on like the big nominations or whatever. Like predictions. So he's smart. Yeah. And he said something. Right. And I said, and I think we have the same take here. But he's a guy. Right. Yes. We have the same take here. It's like everything in the best picture category this year was either usually not good enough to be a best picture or not tailored to be a best picture. Right. Which of where I still land. Like, Get Out was the best movie this year. I resigned myself to the fact that it was not going to win Best Picture. Yeah. The Shape of Water won last night. I'm not mad about it. Right. I don't. I could have been, I could have been very mad at what got picked for Best Picture. There were like three or four different options that would have made me really mad. I'm glad that I'm not really mad. |
| 1:27.8 | Yeah. I could have been, I could have been very mad at what got picked for best picture. There were like three or four different options that would have made me really mad. |
| 1:46.7 | I'm glad that I'm not really mad. |
| 1:48.1 | Yeah, I think that there was one elite movie and two great ones. |
| 1:54.5 | And one of the great ones won. |
| 1:57.7 | So, as long as one of those three won, I wouldn't be mad. |
| 2:02.3 | And I'm assuming you're saying, get out, Phantom Thread, and Shep Water. |
| 2:05.7 | And I liked Phantom Thread just a little more than I liked the shape of water. |
| 2:08.4 | But I loved Shape Water. |
| 2:10.3 | That movie fucking rules. |
| 2:12.5 | But, so I saw a tweet, and it was getting, getting like a lot of buzz and stuff. |
| 2:26.0 | And it was saying, and it sucks because it makes a good point, but in like just the incorrect way. And it was like Lady Bird tells the like painful relationship that can exist between a mother and a daughter |
| 2:38.6 | maybe it would have won best picture |
