Summary

This week, David, Rebecca, and Richard dive into the newly announced TIFF and Venice Film Festival lineups for clues on front-runners and sleepers in the Oscar season to come—as well as a few surprising omissions. 0:14.3	It's a busy week for us here on Little Goldman coming off of a very busy weekend.
0:18.8	The Venice Film Festival lineup has finally been revealed,
0:21.9	which is like Christmas morning for some of us.
0:24.6	The Toronto Film Festival finalized a lot of their lineup this week.
0:29.1	So we're going to talk about both of those
0:30.9	and make some educated guesses between them
0:34.4	of what might be going to tell your eye
0:36.1	because, astime listeners know,
0:38.3	they don't tell us what's going there until this festival actually starts.
0:42.2	And that altogether gives us a really good idea of what fall festival season will look like
0:46.4	in award season thereafter.
0:48.9	But first, this weekend, a couple occurrences.
0:59.3	One was the premiere, the release of Ariester's Eddington,
1:05.8	which was not especially successful at the box office, has been very divisive with critics.
1:10.3	We're going to take another look at that movie. Richard has a great piece up on vanity fair.com after his second viewing.
1:12.2	And we're also going to talk first about the cancellation of the late show with Stephen Colbert, which kind of dominated headlines, landed like an earthquake here in Hollywood.
