Hello, welcome to the naughty but nice, I'm your host, droper. It is Monday, which means our dear friend, Garrett Vogel joins us. Hey, Garrett, are you there? Hello, Bob. I'm doing well, fresh off the Oscars. I liked it this year. I like it. How about you? I really liked it, too. Let's jump into it. I thought there's some really great moments. Conan O'Brien, first of all, great host, funny, not too political, kind of serious, but also charming at the same time. I thought his tone was just right. What did you think? Yeah, he had the right tone to it too. And it's funny, it's like, what took so long? You know, what had it happened? you know, and, and for him to, to, you know, it's like, what, what took so long? You know, what had to happen?

You know, and for him to, to, you know, kind of just poke, you know, kind of a little bit like you, you know, a little bit naughty, a little bit nice.

And he was the right tone for last night, I think.

Absolutely.

It was difficult, too, with the fires, with everything going on in the world. It's easy to get so political, to get so angry. I thought he was just fantastic. He made me smile from the moment he stepped foot on stage. Also, too, I thought it was terrific to open with Wicked. Now, if you have not seen it yet, a lot of people assumed it was just going to be

songs from Wicked, but I think it was really lovely how they tipped their hat to the source

material, the Wizard of Oz, the Wiz, and then Wicked. We have three amazing musicals based on

Oz. Oh, I mean, it was the, my only gripe with having the cast of Oz there, yes, the cast of Wicked, yes, they did win a few awards, correct, for costume and design, but you put Cynthia Arrivo, Ariana Grande in the front row, the first, first row, And same thing with Timothy Shalamee, too,

because you know they're going to be the biggest draw of them all. And you do not give any of them,

any three of them, an award last night is just what, to me, a little bit of a, like a political

sleazy game of like, oh, they're there, they could win, they're in the front row,

nothing. Nothing. Nothing. I think you make a point, but when we talk about somebody in the front row

who didn't win who thought she was going to, I think we have to talk about Demi more. So going into

last night, everybody at my Oscar party, everybody that was in my little Oscar pool had Demi as the sure winner.

The New York Times had Demi, all the press variety, the Hollywood reporter, all the trades.

Everybody had told Demi she was going to win.

I think she thought she was going to win.

Garrett, what a surprise.
