Hi, guys. Dave. We got a special guest on the podcast. His name is Oz Guinness. So he is a

prolific author, speaker and social critic. He's also the senior fellow at the Oxford Center

for Christian apologetics and the founder of Trinity Forum. So he is either authored himself or edited

been a part of over three dozen books at this point. It's like 30. I can't remember. I counted him

up earlier, but he's got books like The Call, Fools Talk, A Free People Suicide, Signals of Transcendence.

That's actually the book. His latest book that I just read here. The guys just written so much

and done so much public speaking and so many different things. But the interesting thing about him

is I didn't even know this until I was preparing for this interview and researching. He's the great,

great, great grandson of the renowned Irish brewer Arthur Guinness. And so we got to talk a little

bit about Guinness beer and kind of his whole connection with the family and all that kind of stuff.

But the guys just led a really, really interesting life. He was actually born in China

to Christian missionaries during World War II. And he actually witnessed first hand the climax

of the Chinese revolution in 1949 and the rape of Nan King and in different things like that.

Just unbelievable brutality. But he moved to the United States in the 80s. And like I mentioned,

he's a cultural commentator and social critic. And that's the interesting thing about this talk.

To be honest with you, it's one of my favorite talks that we've done so far this year, maybe in

the history of this podcast. Because as I, as I've gotten used to, when interviews kind of go

differently than the way I think that they are going to go, that's typically a good thing. But in

this case, it was a great thing because we talk about his time with the Guinness family and being

a part of the Guinness legacy and all that. And that's great. But then we dig into what he saw in China

and where that ideology comes from with communism and Marxism. But how that also has really
