0:04.8	Jeffrey Saxx is the director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University.
0:11.8	He's the president of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
0:17.2	He's the winner of the 2015 Blue Planet prize of as selling law,
0:22.0	and a chairman of the Lancet's COVID-19 Commission.
0:27.1	The Commission was announced, as I recall, I think in June of 2020 by Richard.
0:31.8	That's right. And then you're joining the Commission happen in November 2020,
0:38.0	and you assembled a task force for the prestigious medical journal, 190-year-old medical
0:45.7	journal to determine the origins of COVID-19.
0:50.1	You hand selected, I think, a number of them of the commissioners, but most notoriously Peter
0:56.4	Daysack, the president of eco-health alliance, and to be chairman of the task force, Daysack
1:04.8	was essentially forced to refuse himself in June of 2021, and then you shut down the
1:10.7	Commission altogether in September of 2021, and you did something incredibly courageous,
1:18.8	which was to publish an article in PINAS, which has gotten a tremendous attention.
1:25.6	I'm sure you're getting a lot of negative and positive blowback from that,
1:31.9	essentially saying that your belief is that the best evidence is that the COVID-19 virus
1:39.6	came from a Chinese lab that it was based upon US-funded technology,
1:47.4	and I would have to agree with you on that, having done a lot of research on it myself.
