The biggest word that comes to me with the Giro is epic.

I think everyone says you come home with the most stories of any race in the calendar.

There's something that's going on and there's something epic to talk about.

There's a real cycling feeling, like the real people that love cycling down to its core,

I think lives in the gyro.

I think that pink jersey, the epicness of the dolomites, the mountains, the history of it,

the passion of the people, the food, I just think there's something about the Giro that

is cycling right down to its core.

For me it's the passion of the fans.

It's a different feel.

I think also when I thought about cycling as a kid, I thought of Italy, the country.

For me, France is obviously massive with the Tour de France and everything, but for me, the

Tour de France is a different feel.

You really go there, the people are so passionate and it's a different feel, but yeah, the people

are just amazing.

The country is so beautiful.

Just from the experience I had that first year in 2014, made me really fall in love with it.
