Welcome to the Bronx Pinstripe Show.

Last episode, Scott, we said, okay, we've got Atlanta on the schedule. If they get swept, they will be below 500. And that is exactly what happened. Just a disaster. That was the most obvious thing ever. I hope everybody, I hope everybody bet money and put their retirement on the Atlanta Braves because it was the most obvious thing possible that this team was going to walk in and get swept.

Most obvious thing in the world.

Obviously, just a disastrous stretch for the Yankees, disastrous road trip.

What was that stat you just read beforehand since July 1st? The last 60 games 400 baseball.

424 and 36. Yep. Worse the 60 game span since 92. They've won one series in the past

basically two months, month and a half, and that was against the Royals. Everything else has been a

series loss or a split. It's just an utter disaster. But I did notice, I think, a tonal shift

with some of the things that Boone has been saying, certainly what is being discussed in the media.

Like this is, this was obviously going to happen. We have a clip from the foul territory show that we're going to play a little bit later on. But when a team is struggling so badly like the Yankees that had high expectations, every single angle is going to start to be looked at. People are going to come out of the woodwork saying, I know what's wrong with the team I experienced this. So, yes, that was all to be expected. But the thing I want to start with is listening to Boone's

post-game press conferences this week. I think there was a little bit of a tonal shift in what he was,

his attitude, more so than anything. um last night he's talking about how

baseball history is littered with unexpected runs and he referenced the phillies last year

going on a run to make the braves the braves as well and he's not wrong obviously there's

baseball's unique i think think, in that aspect,

like more so than a lot of sports. Like, yes, teams that you don't expect can just get hot at the

right time and then boom, they win when you don't expect them to. But the tonal shift is it went

from, it's right in front of us. We've got the right guys in the clubhouse. We believe in this team to now we have to go on an unexpected run. That's the only way this is going to get fixed is we just have to fall ass backwards into it.
