Every job is a grind sometimes. There's spreadsheets, there's expense reports, PowerPoint presentations,

or there's playing the Phantom of the Opera on the organ over and over and over again.

I try to make it new every night. I try to reimagine the arrangement I play.

Sometimes I'll play it in a different key. It just kind of keeps me on my toes a little bit. I always breakfast

breakfast telling people about my job with saying that you have to see it and

ear it to believe it but I just tell them that it's a large restaurant that

seats you know the better part of a thousand people and it has the world's

largest realtor theater pike working.

And I play requests from the audience all my long.

And people just sort of look at me like I'm from outer space.

I'm doing this.

I'm doing Thoris and this is Atlas Obscira. Today a trip to Oregon

stop pizza in Mesa, Arizona, where you come for the pipes but you stay for the pepperoni.

After this. Oh, the new.

The you're not. I'm going to be honest. From the outside, Oregon Stop Pizza looks a little bit like a sad casino.

It's right off the highway. It's this huge building with 40 foot

ceilings and no real windows. But when you walk inside and sit down with the 700 other people in the cavernous dining room.

The sad casino kind of transforms into some sort of literal theater of the absurd.

An American flag hangs on the wall under a disco ball, neon lights flash in rhythm with the music,

curtains part, and a trio of Marionette Cats begins to dance.

And then, the largest theater pipe organ in the world

slowly rises out of the floor on a rotating hydraulic elevator.
