I'm Stuart Mandel, joined as always by Bruce Feldman.

It is week seven of the college football season. If you can believe that,

we are almost halfway through the season, regular season already. Hard to believe.

Bruce, I want to start this week. Michael Mulvahill at Fox at your company. He's like the

audience research guru. Tweeted something on Tuesday that really caught my eye.

Total viewing of college football across all networks is up 12% this year and up 28% over the last

five years. And he goes on to say, and I think it's going up again next year when the Big Ten

broadcast triple header is fully in place.

And Disney has total flexibility placed the SEC inventory wherever they want it.

There are certainly emerging sports that have got your growth percentage from a lower base of viewership.

I think I don't know what he's referring to there, like pickleball or something.

But among well-established major properties

i don't know what in all of tv is trending any better than college football so it seems like

we're at this sport that every that i heard was going to dive over the last three summers oh it's

going to be the death of college football, is having a boom.

Do you have any theories why?

I have a couple.

I'm going to start with, to me, the most obvious.

And it's something we've talked about a lot.

And that is Colorado is getting insane numbers for games that would not rate at all before.

And that Dion Sanders, I think, is not just mattered to get some TV numbers going.
