Welcome to the audible presented by Trader Joe's. I'm Stuart Mandel, joined as always

by Bruce Feldman. It is week seven of the college football season. If you can believe that,

we are almost halfway through the regular season already, hard to believe.

Bruce, I want to start this week. Michael Mulvihill at Fox, at your company. He's like the

research, audience research guru. Tweeted something on Tuesday that really caught my eye.

Total viewing of college football across all networks is up 12% this year and up 28%

over the last five years. And he goes on to say, and I think it's going up again next

year when the big 10 broadcast triple headers fully in place and Disney has total flexibility

place, the SEC inventory whether they want it. There are certainly emerging sports that

have got your growth percentage from a lower base of your ship. I think I'm always referring

to there like pickle ball or something. But among well established major properties,

I don't know what in all of TV is trending any better than college football. So it seems

like we're at this sport that I heard was going to dive over the last three summers.

Oh, it's going to be the death of college football is having a boom. Do you have any theories

why?

I have a couple. I'm going to start with to me the most obvious and it's something we've
