Welcome to the Peter King Podcast. It's another quarantine edition of the Peter King podcast, but this one, I think there's going to be one unusual bit of this podcast having to do with a tour of a general manager's draft headquarters, which I think you're really going to enjoy. We'll talk to Thomas Dimitroff, the general manager of the Falcons,

he will give us that tour.

We'll also talk to Trey Wingo,

who will host the most unusual event

of his television career

when he rides heard on the NFL draft August 23 to 25 on

ESPN. And finally we will hear from Justin Herbert, the quarterback from Oregon,

who's going obviously go in the first round and maybe even as high as number three,

we will see.

But Justin Herbert will join us later in the podcast. First of all, you know, this thought occurred to me walking around our empty neighborhood in Brooklyn on a beautiful pristine spring day as I record this

Tuesday April 14 walking in a just a pleasant neighborhood in Brooklyn

with a mask on, walking with my wife and my dog

and just seeing people and staying apart from them

and everything and it just occurred to me that you know this is an incredibly strange time

for everybody in America I mean. And I just keep thinking, you know, this is a time in our lives when we're all going to have

some incredible memories of what happened.

Not all of them are gonna be good,

but I think we're gonna remember this period

for the rest of our lives.

And I've been trying to just sort of wrap my head around the role that I, you know, Peter King, that we in the media play, and also the role that the NFL plays,

specifically in this case with the NFL draft.
