The vote came at roughly 1 a.m. on Wednesday, local time.

NFL Players Association Board of Player

Representatives has adopted the proposal on a new collective bargaining agreement.

Georgia Tala, the NFLPA spokesman, announced the outcome of the vote on Twitter,

Said Georgia Tala, the NFLPA Board of Player Representatives voted to send the proposed

collective bargaining agreement to the membership for a vote.

Now, that doesn't mean it was sent with a recommendation.

Remember, the NFLPA tweaked the rules on Monday in a memo that was sent to all agents explaining that the proposed

CBA would only be sent to the full union if a majority of the board votes in favor of it.

That is nowhere in the Constitution.

If two-thirds vote for it, it goes with a recommendation.

So what's going to happen is it's going to go without a

recommendation because, I'm told, the final vote among the 32 member board of player representatives

was 17 to 14 with one abstention. So 17 votes were needed and exactly 17 votes were obtained. I don't know whether it was a voice

vote or a secret ballot. One thing to remember with a secret ballot, the most powerful person in

the room isn't the person voting. It's the person counting the votes. I'm not saying that
