But every once while between those two full-length episodes, you'll have a Monday where we post

one of these, one question episodes, an episode where we address just one question. And today's

question that we're going to cover, and by we, I mean Chelsea Lane Griffin, my wife and I, Adam, are going to cover is what if

our kids resent us for trying to disciple them? What if, you know, sometimes as a parent,

you're putting all this effort into reading the Bible together, praying together,

singing together, what if when they grow up, they're like, that's something they hold against

you? What if it's a part of their life that they regret?

How do we preemptively deal with that?

But also how do we maybe address that?

Chelsea, what comes to mind for you when you think about the parent who's worried that our kids might resent us for our best efforts in what is most important in our family?

I think we don't have to fear that.

I think resentment in someone else's heart is not really our property, right?

So one day if our kid is walking in that,

that will be like any other sin that a person could walk in

that I can't be responsible for.

When I'm doing something in good faith, trying to give the Lord

my best, obviously, if I'm ruling over them like a tyrannical dictator or oppressing them,

which is against what the scriptures describe for a parent's role. So if I'm trying to walk in
