Hello I'm Georgie Corridge Cole and welcome to today's Sheerlucks in conversation with

podcast. Today I'm really pleased to be talking about fertility and specifically IVF.

It is something that more and more women are going through in life and something that I firmly believe needs discussing.

As I always say, knowledge is power and my two guests today have a huge

amount of knowledge on the topic. I'm really thrilled to be joined by Danielle

Box. Danielle is a health and beauty journalist, has been for 15 years, but when she discovered

that getting pregnant would not be a straightforward path for her, along with a midwife,

she launched the Mission Baby Podcast to share her highs and

lows and first-hand experience of her fertility treatment, which ultimately resulted in

IVF and then the birth of her son.

I'm also joined by Dr. Maloney Upple who has a vast amount of experience in the field of reproductive medicine.

She's an associate member of the Royal College of Obstetricians

in Gynecologists and a member of the British Fertility Society. I know Dr.

Maloney you were a guest on the Mission Baby podcast and that you and Danielle know each other already so that's

wonderful ladies thank you so much for joining me thank you Georgie such pleasure

oh well Danielle can we start with you I mean you are a mother of a boy who's how old? Yes he's actually 20 months today

So I had him in the middle of the first lockdown which is probably not high on anyone's to do this in the middle of the

pandemic his name's Boa but he is the result of many many rounds of

treatment and a successful round of ICTE which is a sort of IVF plus and we can talk about that exactly what that is in the minute.

But yeah, he was and is an amazing little boy as a result of my fertility journey.
