of violence on black folks of all ages. She has a background as being a fellow in Stanford University for the

advanced study in behavioral sciences. She's published in over a hundred peer-review journal articles,

and she's also provided research perspectives on violence, sexual abuse, and harassment,

racism and sexism for national outlets like The Washington Post,

Dr. Gomez's ultimate goal is for her work

to promote equality, equity, and healing
