Welcome to the Black Girl Burnout podcast. Kelly here. And today I want to talk about how to opt into soft success. Really, this is an episode that's going to lay the foundation for our entire month that's coming up.

April is Financial Literacy Month, and I thought, what a better time to talk about success,

personal image, and our own relationship with wealth and money than the present.

This podcast is all about opting out of struggle.

And we all know there are certain things that are challenging for any person.

And if we do not have a great relationship with self,

These are the things that keep us stuck in struggle.

And so this month, I want to talk about how to bring alignment to your relationship with money by doing it the Black Girl Burnout way,

I have always been a little bit hesitant about delving into money when it comes to this

podcast, mostly because in full transparency, it's been something that I have to work through.

My own money blocks, my own thoughts about wealth versus riches, my own philosophy around how to get to a life that makes you comfortable

and how to have the successful life you deserve. And to be blunt, a lot of my resistance

into going into this area is my complete rejection of how most people talk about money, talk about how to get

money, talk about how to be wealthy, and that a lot of the constructs that we have around wealth

are imbalanced. We have one extreme where we have a lot of blocks around making money and blocks around terms like

wealth.

I know I fall into that category.

And then we have the other extreme where people are hustling and grinding and perpetuating

an idea of wealth, of riches, really, that is absolutely incompatible with a life filled with joy.
