Summary

This special podcast episode features the first-ever conversation between Oprah and the five exonerated men who were once known as The Central Park Five. Their story is dramatically told in the Netflix series, “When They See Us,” a historical account of the five teenagers wrongfully convicted of sexual assault in Central Park in 1989. 1:57.6	hours before this whole nightmare began. What were your hopes, your dreams? How would your

2:10.4	Wow. That is the most important questions, I think. Being a young person full of hope,
2:19.6	full of dreams, full of ideas, wanting to just be. God said be, and it is. I think about
2:29.0	that often because for me, my whole life changed. I went from writing skateboards and probably
2:38.3	climbing trees and playing Ring of Leaview123. The most romantic thing I think I did back
2:45.2	then was walk around the lake and hold hands. Those memories kind of stayed with me throughout
2:52.4	prison. It was difficult to digest that.
