I'm trying to stand my hair.

Those of you who don't have black hair,

if you're white, you don't have black hair.

But those of you who have black hair, if you're a black woman,

you know that there's a huge difference between our hair.

You know, in the races in our heart, we're all the same.

God loves us all the same. He did not give us the same hair, however.

And so if you're a black woman who's had to be on TV every day

and have to have your hair blown away,

have your hair blow dried and be able to maintain healthy hair,

that's a very difficult thing to do.

That's why you need the same person who knows your hair doing it all the time.

Audrey, your job is secure.

Since I started watching the Oprah Winfrey show at about 12 years old,

my hair went from hot combed to relaxed to braids with extensions,

back to relaxed, to short and chemical free, to long and chemical free,

back to short again.

Yes, I've had quite the hair journey. And so is Oprah.
