| 0:34.8 | clean energy tax credits, expanded health care coverage, expanded Medicare for hearing services, |
| 0:41.1 | money for affordable housing and immigration reform funding. And that is all transformational, |
| 0:47.9 | especially when it comes to the funds that are going toward clean energy and climate investments. |
| 0:52.9 | This will be the largest clean energy investment |
| 0:55.8 | in U.S. history, with billions of dollars going toward clean energy tax credits, resilient |
| 1:01.3 | investments, and incentives for businesses to consume fewer fossil fuels. Another transformational |
| 1:07.5 | program is the $400 billion toward child care. That would come |
| 1:11.7 | now to a little over 24,000 for the 1.6 million preschool age kids in America. Now, if Democrats |
| 1:19.0 | actually manage to get this bill passed, that could finally put us on par with other developed |
| 1:24.6 | countries. Let me just give you a quick comparison of how much developed countries |
| 1:28.8 | spend on child care for toddlers. Norway's at the top of the chart with nearly $30,000 per child. |
| 1:35.5 | Iceland, Finland, Denmark all spend more than $20,000 per child. Then you got the United States, |
| 1:41.5 | which until now spends about $500 per child before this new bill. |
| 1:47.8 | There are, however, a lot of important and popular programs that didn't make it in. |
| 1:52.1 | They include an increase in paid family leave, free community college, expanded Medicare coverage for dental and vision and prescription drug reform. |
