0:07.2	Her name is Liza and we had an episode in which she talked about her story of erotic transference that she had towards
0:15.4	her therapist and also her experience with dissociative identity disorder.
0:20.4	There was a huge response to that episode. Lots of you emailed me and I
0:25.5	forwarded the emails to her and she really appreciated that and it inspired her
0:30.1	to come back on the podcast to continue to advocate for things and to talk about her experience.
0:36.2	Today she's going to talk about the opioid crisis. She's going to talk about her own experience with
0:42.0	opioids and we, her and I are going to get to
0:46.4	the foundation of many people's experience with many people's many persons
0:51.5	experience with addiction in general and also the way in which our society seems to miss the mark in terms of how to conceptualize addiction and and the basic foundation of it.
1:04.0	Most people believe it, you know, it's,
1:06.0	there's something wrong with your character
1:08.0	or you become physically addicted,
1:10.0	these kinds of things,
1:11.0	and that often misses the mark for most people. We're also going to
1:14.6	talk about homelessness and how she experienced that. Also she's going to
1:19.5	continue talking about her experience with dissociative identity disorder or multiple personality
1:24.6	disorders it used to be called.
1:26.6	But the main thing she wants to talk about here is attachment therapy or a relational
1:30.0	therapy, relational psychodynamic work, interpersonal therapy.
1:34.8	She has experienced that and it has in a lot of ways saved her life as she will talk about.
