Summary

This week Seth, Bill and good buddy Jon Parshall tackle the story of the Japanese battleship Yamato and her final sortie. The team gets into the beginnings of the operation and how the idea was formed in the heads of the upper echelons of the Imperial Japanese Navy, and then get deep into the dissension within the ranks of those assigned to take part in the death ride. Then Seth, Jon and, Bill go blow by blow in the story of Yamato, Yahagi and, all their fellow consort's final struggle as they fall victim to wave after wave of American Naval aircraft from Mitscher's Task Force 58. 0:45.9	I'm doing well, Seth, but that it has to be the ugliest shirt I've ever seen.
0:53.1	You know, I would take offense to that, but we're all wearing the same shirt.
0:57.1	Got to rock the shirts every now and then.
0:57.6	Absolutely.
1:02.4	This is, I'm going to call this a rain of steel shirt.
1:06.7	Rain of steel, yeah, rain of steel. I kind of preferred my analogy early, the white blotter shirt, but, you know, hey, whatever.
1:13.1	It is what it is.
1:14.9	So, obviously, the third member of our crew is with us today.
1:18.1	John, partial.
1:18.9	How are you today, John?
1:20.6	I'm doing all right, battling a little bit of a cold here and a cough.
1:24.7	But, yeah, I'll be punching my mute button on a fairly frequent basis.
1:28.9	But other than that, ready to rock and roll, do Yamato, my fave, one of my fave ships.
1:34.6	It is that time of year for the hacking and the coffin of the season.
