Yo, technology. What is it all about? For example, the modern smartphone has 250 lasers in it. Each of those lasers was $200,000 15 years ago.

The pack of 200 of them costs $1. But there's also 12 radios, four camera chips, an ultrasound array, all in a package that costs $1,000.

So what we're looking at is making a silicon hospital in a similar package that has the

next generation of these devices that we're divining for a platform that's applicable to hundreds

of diseases.

Mary Lou Jepson is a super impressive person. She's a veteran of the

consumer electronics world for decades. She's got dozens of patents to her name. She was the co-founder

of the one laptop per child nonprofit. It was very big deal. She led virtual reality efforts

at Oculus. She worked with Sergei Bryn doing some of the moonshots back in the early days of X.

She's always been at the bleeding edge of what was happening and what you could do with consumer electronics.
