Let's get a mic check here. One, two, one, two, episode 28. No gruffs given. I am fresh off a plane for Baltimore.

I want to discuss a few things, plane etiquette. I have no prepared notes. Okay. I apologize, but we're going to free wheel and Dave,

do we have any ads because last week I had to do the ads afterwards? I have not been informed, but I can check.

Well, all right. Don't worry about it. I'm sure there's ads to do. That's fine.

I want to start with a quote. Okay. This comes from Matthew McConaughey's character Cooper from the movie Interstellar,

which I just watched on the plane, and I was crying like a little baby. I was actually crying. I was bawling.

I was sort of, I wouldn't say unhinged, but I was extremely emotional. We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible.

And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known.

We count these moments as our proudest achievements, but we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers, and we've barely begun,

and that our greatest accomplishment cannot be behind us, that our destiny lies above us.

Do yourself a favor and rewatch Interstellar. Make sure you have a nap before. It's very long, but the Hans Zimmer score in it is actually one of the greatest scores I think ever in a movie.

It's just an incredible movie. I loved it. I loved every single second of it. I'm very proud of myself. Okay.

Not because I went into Baltimore, and I kicked ass, and work was good, and set was good, and I was nuanced, and there were moments, and it was just a great trip.

Okay. Because on the way home today, all right, and I'm probably going to remember something that happened on the way there.

But there was a girl, and I'll call her a girl. She was mid-twenties. I believe she was with her mom. They were, I don't know what to call them.

I connected through Atlanta, and I feel like they were from Georgia somewhere. Okay. Like a rich white family that maybe generationally they owned a plantation. I don't know. I just got a weird vibe from them.

I heard this noise coming from, we were in first class, and I was the window seat, and they were the row beside me, and this girl was the window seat on the other row.

I heard these noises going off, like birds chirping, and waves crashing, and initially I was like, this is such a good idea.

Okay. And there's actually a scene in Interstellar where Matthew McConaughey, they're in space, and he's listening to nature sounds, which think about if you're ever isolated in a situation, what a calming, incredible effect nature sounds are. Right.

So first I was like, is the fucking plane pumping this in? Is this some new Delta thing? Because I only fly Delta. I'm a platinum medallion member on Delta, shout out Delta Delta.

No, I don't think it is. That would be insane. Okay. So I'm kind of like trying to pull the sound, right? Because it's not, it's not so loud that I can see exactly where it is.
