Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson.

Here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard, it's opening day. Thank God we made it.

We've been looking forward to this day since we left Tallahassee, right? Since we announced that Brown O'Connor was going to be the new coach,

we've had plenty of things to get excited about.

We had the number three portal class in the country.

We had a great signing class.

We retained pretty much everybody we wanted to.

You know, we'd love to have Nolan Stevens and Nader Leary back,

but all things considered, it went okay. And so so now here we are ready to see this team

officially on the field for the first time we had a chance to see several scrimmages

back during the fall it's been very very very buttoned up this spring so we don't

know for sure what the lineup's going to look like but it's here it's

here we got good weather today forecast is improved for tomorrow I still think there's

probably a possibility of a schedule change for Saturday but you know we'll see how things go.

Supposed to get some rain at some point, most of that coming in the evening and

overnight hours, but we'll see how it goes.

I just want to get all three of these games in.

I want Mississippi State to win all three of these games and look impressive in the process.

That's what I want, That's what you want.

And thank God we're here. Got something to really be excited about. And this fan base, obviously,

for the last two years, has not had a lot to get excited about. We've had some things, but not a lot.
