Open AI has just dropped a brand new image model. I've been testing it out and playing with it

0:05.5

today. I'm quite impressed with what they've been able to accomplish. TechCrunch said that they

0:11.0

are continuing their code red warpath by putting out this model. I don't know if it's a code red

0:16.7

warpath, but I do think this is a really impressive model. And I also think, I mean, I think it was

0:21.4

just time for them to update it. But perhaps it is because prior to them releasing this model,

0:27.8

their last image model update, I was begging them to make for over a year. The old version of Dolly,

0:33.1

so like two generations ago, was absolute garbage. They were getting smoked by literally

0:37.3

everybody, including Mid journey and everyone.

0:40.7

And so when they made their previous update to the image model, it was a huge, huge upgrade.

0:46.3

Playing with this newest model is really cool.

0:48.6

There's a bunch of cool features, but there's still some places that it failed when I was

0:52.6

testing it.

0:53.2

So I'll give you the pros and the

0:54.5

cons on this episode and break down what I think it is capable of doing, what it isn't capable of doing the areas I think that there are for improvement and some of the shockingly impressive things I was able to get it to do. So we're going to get into all of that on the podcast today. But if you want to test out all of the models I talk about on the show, go check out my own startup,

1:11.1

which is called AIbox.aI. You get access to over 40 of the top AI models, a whole bunch of

1:17.2

image models that are really cool, a whole bunch of audio models like 11 labs, opening eyes audio

1:22.3

model for text, you have Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, meta, tons of cool open source models all on there for $20 a month.

1:30.7

So you can save money and have them all consolidated into one place.

1:34.4

So if you want to go check that out, it's AIbox.AI. I'll leave a link in the description.

1:39.4

All right, let's get into Open AI's latest model.

1:43.1

So they've just rolled out this new image model. Apparently it a lot better at following instructions i've tested it out i have found that it is more precise at editing and it's four times faster at generating images which let's be honest is the biggest thing that would drive me crazy with open ai and the reason why i was using Gemini's nanobanana because it was just

2:02.7

so much faster at creating images. So I actually think this is a big moment for Open AI. They
