Today on the AI chat podcast, I want to talk about a really big acquisition that just happened

with OpenAI.

They've acquired a company called Sky.

This is an AI interface for Mac company, which is really interesting because right now we

have a brand new product from Open AI, which is their agent running in their Atlas browser.

And essentially, it's taking action for you. It's doing a whole bunch of stuff. And it feels like this acquisition

of Sky is trying to do something very similar. But there's a whole bunch of kind of weird

backstory to this company where Sam Altman actually owns shares in the company. So he technically

would be getting compensated for this. The company doesn't have a live product. No one's actually tried it. There's a bunch of weird stuff that I'm going to be getting into on this show today. Notably, I don't know if this is on purpose, but in all their blog posts, they always have m-dashes,

which makes you feel like they use chat chip to write them but

you know that this is probably irrelevant uh this is what the opening statement of the blog

post said then i'll get into the acquisition of it they said AI progress isn't only about

advancing advancing intelligence it's about unlocking it through interfaces that understand

You know, it's called Software Applications Incorporated.

Very generic, but it's basically the company makes Sky.
