Have you ever been startled out of a deep sleep by an unrelenting knocking at your front door?

Or maybe someone pounding at your bedroom door.

So many emotions stream through your mind in a flash, anger, fear, caution, anxiety.

Do you answer? Do you hide? Or do you find someone to answer it for you?

Or have you ever been the one knocking? Feverishly trying to get someone's attention inside,

someone to ask for help, knocking, and seeking answers?

Well, this meditation from Revelation Chapter 3 is a reflection on answering the knocking, opening the door to accept the promises of God and fellowship with his son. So where do you go to escape the frenetic pounding of the

world? Where is your quiet place?

We'll begin your meditation by settling into a humble posture to listen, to answer, and

to respond, a divine retreat, if you will.

And as your breathing begins to relax, your eyes move from open to closed.

Center on the eternal presence of God, Spirit and Son, seeking you, drawing near to you. continue in this time of reflection by responding to this passage from john chapter 14

and as i lead us responds respond simply, Lord God,

I open the door. May God bless the reading of His word. The person who has God's

commandments and keeps them is the one who really loves Jesus. So Lord God, I open the door.

Whoever really loves Jesus will be then loved by His Father. Lord God, I open the door.

Jesus will love Him and reveal Himself to Him.

He will make Himself real to you.
