I think this is the most prestigious honor that any individual can win in the

National Football League. I have so much respect for Eric, his family. I've known his dad,

Gus, for, I don't know, ever since I moved to Sacramento. I've watched Eric grow up.

I've followed his career.

I don't know Eric very well.

When I see him, we say hi, we shake hands and that's about it.

So I don't want to make it sound like I'm some best friend with Eric Armstead.

I actually know his dad much better than Eric.
