And Scotty Sheffler has his Open Championship.

And the third leg of golf's Grand Slam.

And that was Dan Hicks on NBC as he wrapped up a solid weekend as he basically blew away the field for the most part.

Here was Sheffler winning the Open Championship Trophy for the first time.

Yes, it's pretty cool. I haven't really gotten to take a look at it yet, but I'll get some time here and we finish up.

And I'll be taking this one back home with me for sure.

And if you watched on Saturday,

yeah, the fans were so, and understandably so all weekend, so into Rory, being that

they were in Ireland, but Schaeffler also acknowledging lots of support as well for him.

sheffler scottie's in a league of his own right now and i played with him a bunch in college and he

was not that good so he's figured out a lot of stuff since then and it's really impressive to see and

uh something all we can we can learn from and then i think uh i think both of you guys referenced

jordan speeth just talking about how what a different

guy Schaeffler is. He doesn't care to be a superstar. He's not transcending the game like Tiger did.

He's not bringing it to non-golf audience necessarily. He doesn't want to go do, you know,

the stuff that, you know, a lot of us go do. Corporately, anything like that, he's, he just wants to get away from the game and separate the two. And then spend time with his family and when he plays. Maybe that's the key. Maybe, you know, the trappings of success have actually hurt a lot of golf, I believe, have heard a lot of golfers over the years, and they get to a certain point,

and then all of a sudden they go down. You know, you could say that about Ricky Fowler. You could say that about Sergio Garcia. There's a number of players like this. Yeah, Jordan, Brooks, Kepka.
