show she's the director of sustainability at Sierra Nevada Brewing

Company we've talked about a lot of the stuff that She's the director of sustainability at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company.

We've talked about a lot of the stuff that she leads at the brewery,

you know, rainwater capture, CO2 recovery, composting,

obviously a favorite topic of both you and myself but today we're going to move into energy

We're talking about how Sierra deals with the massive energy would I would assume that you guys use right mani when

brewing beer is not a low energy process I would imagine so you've got stuff like

solar micro turbines etc going on I'd love to hear a little bit about that.

Yeah, sure. So we, you're right, brewing, the brewing industry in general is a pretty resource

intensive process and industry.

And so that also means though that there's a lot of opportunity

to do it right and to capitalize on those abilities

to close the loop like we talked about yesterday or just

really be more efficient and thoughtful because it is a pretty water and energy

intensive process so if Sierra Nevada is known for anything on the sustainability side,

where usually people tend to know about zero waste

and then they also tend to know about our energy investments in our

energy program and that's because we've invested for a long time in both

solar and other technologies to make as much electricity and energy on site in our own
