But only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs that it might benefit those who listen

Wow, that it might benefit those who listen. I had to read this verse a couple of times because I am not

I am not a very good example. I think to my kids sometimes I was thinking the Bible says don't let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth

Well, I don't have that down, but only what is helpful?

We don't have that down and for building others up so that it might benefit those who listen and I was thinking as we're praying today

Before we take on the day and before the busyness of the day sets in let's take a moment and just ask the spirit of God to put his finger on

our pride

our fear our

jealousies our insecurities

Our fear of men are rebellion

Our self-righteousness just that we would ask the Holy Spirit to control us. You know, we don't hear much about

Self-control which is a fruit of the spirit we hear about you know as Christians we want to

have a list of things that we do and don't do

But the Bible says that we are to be controlled by the spirit and I think that's why Paul and Ephesians can tell us

Don't let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths and we can actually do it because we are children in the living God
