Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Today we reflect on only that which remains.

Let's begin the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for, especially

uniting our rosaries together for all of the loved ones whose names have

been submitted for their deeper conversion and their well-being in mind, body, and soul.

The end of the year is a good time to reflect on the end of one's own life and to keep our

hearts fixed on what lasts and what ends.

What is passing and what is everlasting and not to get the two confused.

There are only three things that last,

only three things that go with us into the next life.

Friendship with God, friendship with others, and what we become in our nature.

A virtuous adopted son of God or a demonic vicious beast.

Sius Lewis in his weight of glory writes,

it is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses.

To remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you talk to may one day be a creature which, if saw it now you would be strongly tempted to worship

or else a horror and a corruption, the kind of thing you meet only in a nightmare.

All day long we are in some degree helping each other to one or

other of these destinations. It is in the awe and the
