Only proper deterrence works. That's it.

You have to be able to hit and inflict a massive cost on the other in order to get some kind of agreement,

or at least they even have a chance to get some sort of agreement.

The Iranians have done that. The Lebanese are split.

This is the odd part. The Lebanese that are inflicting costs are not on the negotiating table and delegitimized

by the part of the Lebanese that don't have any ability to inflict cost. That's why it's so strange.
