Today's talk comes from Pastor Ben Stewart.

Well, it's been a heavy week.

I don't know if you've felt that.

I mean, I certainly have, yes, on the national news scene politically and socially and

social media and the like, but I've found that it's been heavy in so many people's

personal lives that I've talked to, and I can't share any of that as a pastor,

share what people are going through, but just one after another is I've talked to so many of you,

it's just been a lot of heaviness, and not all of it's been what's on the national stage.

I've talked to people whose marriages are having some real problems, some people who are struggling with addiction

and not winning. Some of you that are facing medical issues, I have dear friends in the

hospital right now without clarity on what's going on with them or how to solve it. And so all

week there's just been a spirit of heaviness, and I've been excited about talking about the series that we've

been in, the leadership lessons from the life of Solomon. I felt like it was the right place to go

this fall and continue to believe that and can't wait to get to it. And so I was studying the

life of Solomon this week. But as I was preparing for this message, I felt like the best I can say it is the Lord kept

pivoting my heart to talk about something else. And I don't like when he does that. I like a plan

and I like to execute the plan. And so there was a bit of a struggle there. But I decided, you know,

okay, we do need to pivot to talk about some other things today.

And Lord, give me the grace and give us the grace to do that.

And then we'll get back to Solomon next week.
