How the Atlanta Spa shootings change the Asian-American conversation.

Today marks one year since six Asian women were shot to death in Atlanta area spa.

Those murders intensified the spotlight on Asian-American hate,

which was on the rise since the start of the pandemic.

In the last year, anti-Asian hate crimes went up 339% across the country.

That's according to the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism.

But this uptick has also led to increased visibility for Asian-Americans.
