There I was. Waiting for the elevator. Press the button.

Elevator took forever to come. And it was one of those hallways where

there was like eight elevators. All of them on another floor.

Not one on the floor I need. Fine. I'll wait.

Keep waiting. Three days go by. There I am. Still waiting for the elevator.

Right before the elevator comes. Someone walks up and they press the button.

The same button I already pressed. Three days ago.

It's already lit up. Obviously it's been pressed. I'm standing right here. But they pressed the

button and then the elevator comes instantly. Wow. They get on before me

and then hold the door for me. Thanks.

Have no idea what someone has been through. Let this be a lesson.

I step on the elevator and I can't help but think to myself,

where am I in my life and where is this person in their life

that this moment was so much better for them.

You'll never just think about the timing of things.

I waited three days for the elevator to come. This person walks up and

presses a button that's already been pressed. Thing gone. There's the elevator.

Why is there a moment going so much better than mine?

Are they just in a better place in life?

You ever just wonder if someone's in a better place in life than you are?

Like your ex. I have no idea what my ex has been up to for the past like 10 years.
