Well, hello there. It's Morgan here and welcome to today's episode where we are going to be talking about

one way to love the parts of yourself that others may not embrace. And I'm going to be talking about

this through the lens of media. Now, when I say media, I'm not talking about mass communication, such as

broadcasting, publishing, internet articles and all of that. What I'm talking about is the plural

form of the word medium. So one example of this would be art mediums. Technically, that word is media. So that is the

plural word for that. So don't worry, this is not a deep dive into a word study. I just wanted to

clarify that in the beginning as I get into this idea.

And this is something that has helped me in art.

But I have also seen how this is applied to me being a parent, to me being a community member,

to me being a person, just living through life,

encountering people every single day. So one thing that I just realized for the first time

the other day is that this year, 2003, marks 20 years of sharing some kind of artwork digitally through an internet

connection. So I built my first website at age 13 and I'm 33 years old. So for 20 years,

I have been using in some capacity the internet as a creative medium.

And within that, lots of different mediums, media, in terms of making music, making digital art, design, photography, writing. For 20 years. I've been doing that. Pretty much nonstop

in a lot of different ways. And at the same time, while I was this person who was cultivating

this practice, even though I would not have used that terminology at 13, just asking my dad if he could help me figure out how to make a website

because I just really wanted to learn how to do that. I wouldn't have used terminology like

cultivating a practice. It was just I wanted to learn how to do it. I thought it was very fascinating.

But while that was going on from age 13, that was a very, very tough year for me in terms of

my mental health as a young person. Again, I didn't really have that language back then,

but also just the feeling of loneliness and struggling with having no real friends or community and just a whole lot.
