A lot of TV news insiders feel like that doesn't always apply in journalism. When you move fast, when you break things, you end up doing real damage to the trust that people have placed in these brands.

CNN's a very corrupt organization, but with a corrupt reporter standing right there, never smiles.

You never see a young, beautiful woman, never smiles.

That was President Donald Trump taking questions from reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday.

Among them, my colleague, Caitlin Collins.

I see her standing there with hatred in her eyes.

Outside of the incredibly sexist and demeaning way he spoke to a member of the press,

there was one notable thing Trump said there that stuck out.

But CNN, in particular, CNN does such false reporting. But now they have new ownership,

so maybe it'll straighten it out. I doubt it. But it's hard to straighten garbage out.

But CNN has abused. Now, CNN is in the process of getting new owners.

Our parent company Warner Brothers Discovery is being acquired by Paramount Skydance.

That company is led by the billionaire David Ellison, whose family is close to the Trump administration.

So as Trump alluded to there, the thinking in some circles is that once Paramount takes over,

Ellison will steer the coverage of CNN to be more favorable to Trump.

Now, Allison has said throughout that he is committed to a hands-off approach.

He recently said, quote, editorial independence will actually be maintained.

It is maintained at CBS.

It will be maintained at CNN.

Thank you. It is maintained at CBS. It will be maintained at CNN. But critics aren't buying it.
