It's a hell of a day to talk ball.

And joining me to do just that is Dalton Del Don for another stat nerd Thursday.

Dalton, what's going on, buddy?

What's up, Harmon?

Up and down first week in a different universe.

J.K. Dobbins has three touchdowns, a bunch of targets right now, looking good.

But in this one, he suffered an Achilles injury right away and joined Deonté Johnson as two of my favorite targets to immediately get injured.

So it took about three quarters for me to be humbled.

But I did have some good stuff, though, to be sure.

It was a fun week.

It was a fun week.

I think the defenses struck back. The defenses fought back in week one. That's been my big takeaway actually doing the research here for this stat nerd Thursday show. Mixed results just like you in fantasy. But yeah, my big my big takeaway right now is that defenses are punching back in the NFL, which is usually not the case, right, Dalton, just before we jump in this, we have a packed show today.

Before we jump into this, that usually the situation is that like offenses usually start much hotter than defenses and then by the end of the season, scoring goes down.

But do you think there's anything to like attribute this to?

Or is this just kind of maybe a random one week thing? Maybe the shorter preseason and fewer

eight or nine quarterbacks didn't play a snap. I think that probably contributes. But yeah,

I mean, I'm off to some hot starts on some fantasy teams despite the injuries, but I need to hold myself in check,

realizing that I avoided all the top fantasy quarterbacks, and they all pretty much put up a dud this week,
