Hey, Miven. This is Bernard from Bernard, Germany. My question is about testing your business

0:07.0

ideas. So I've heard a bunch of people on your podcast talk about this already and how

0:12.0

it's part of what made them successful. Now I don't really understand what this means,

0:18.0

testing your business ideas. The only thing I can think of is maybe running multiple ads

0:23.4

and comparing the performance. With Beyond That, I really don't know what to do. So could

0:28.8

you first of all tell me how you have seen this done successfully in the past and second

0:35.3

of all, I can become better at it. Thank you.

0:49.1

All right. The guy asked Sean, he said, I hear you talk about testing ideas. What does

0:53.5

that mean? Does that mean just like running ads to like a page and getting sales? And

0:57.9

the answer is yes, that is our way. But he wants to know about testing ideas and how do

1:02.0

you do that?

1:03.0

All right. So we can share a couple of things that I think you talked about this in the

There's a book called a mom test worth reading if you want to get better at the stuff. But

1:16.2

here's the premise, which is talk to customers and your rule is don't make the mistake everybody

1:21.3

does. Don't pitch your product and just wait for them to politely be like, yeah, sounds

1:25.1

really interesting. Let me know because that's like a false positive. You're only allowed

1:28.8

to talk to them about their problem. So you do what's called a problem interview. You

1:32.4

just talk to them about their life. You asked them questions. You try to see a is this

1:37.6

a real problem for them? Be how big of a problem is it like, dude, this is the biggest issue

1:43.0

in my life right now or it's nice to have. And you can sus that out by trying to figure

1:47.2

out, okay, so what have you done to try to solve this? If they don't really say anything,
