Today's topic, one-on-ones, part three. Here we go. Okay, so let's say I have a direct to who wants to talk about their cats or their dogs or they're weakened or whatever.

I listen, right? And generally, and I found that if you listen with the intent to be interested, you will become interested, right?

You got to value your folks.

You should.

If you don't, you're not going to be terribly effective.

But okay, so that's not.

That's not what I would choose to talk about, but it really doesn't bother me all that much.

Now my question is when it gets to my 10 minutes, do I have to reciprocate and kind and talk

about my weekend because they shared their weekend or can I talk about the things

that I want to talk about which is generally work.

No, it's a two-way street, it's a two-way relationship, it's a professional relationship, you

get to talk about what you want to talk about.

Now, it doesn't do you any good 15 minutes into one-on-one after they finish talking about their weekend

and how awesome their family is and how their daughter just walked for you to say, okay, now let's get

to some important stuff, work. Don't do that. You're right. You're sending the

wrong message there. But you probably finish up with anything else and they say
