Brett, it's great to be with you. Thanks for having me on today.

You know, I've read a large part of the book, and it's a fascinating read. What's your biggest takeaway from this

process? I've written a few books on history, but not on my personal experience as much. Your

takeaway? Oh, a couple things. So I tried to write the history as accurately as I could reflect it.

I tried to prioritize those things that really mattered.

You know, a bunch of things that ended up

on the cutting room floor, it just didn't think,

it wasn't that I was trying to hide them.

It was just I didn't think they told the story

of trying inside an established foreign policy world

working to break glass in a way

that kept the American people safe.
