Hello, it's Joe Tomlinson and welcome to a very special bonus episode of one-on-one

on the day that Erling Harlan signed one of football's longest ever deals.

He's put pen to paper on a new nine and a half year contract, eyewater and stuff,

to keep the 24-year-old striker at Man City until 2034,

ending all speculation linking him with clubs like Madrid.

Harlan's been speaking to our very own Juliette Ferrington. Let's give it a listen.

Erling, thank you for your time. It's been quite a week. Are you good at keeping secrets, though,

because obviously this is very important stuff. It's a big deal. It's a big deal for you.

Yeah, I'm good at keeping secrets and all of this, and I'm'm I'm I'm super happy yeah why are you so super

happy and I say a big deal but in the context of the way that Manchester City season has been

this season it's big that you are committing your future here in Manchester yeah I'm super

happy to have signed a long deal with City and I really look forward to spending the

next also many years in the club.

So why do it?

Because of the people I spoke with in the club was so good.

I got so motivated.

I got so good feelings inside me when I spoke with Caldoun, when I spoke with Ferran,

PEP and all of the bosses.

And then in the end, I listened to my instinct and to my feelings inside myself.

And in the end, it was easy choice for me because of the things they said and the way they convince me.

But with PEP also committing his future to the club,

albeit short term for a couple of years,
